Questions Buyers Ask Before Choosing a Glass Supplier
Choosing a glass supplier from China is not only about product lists or prices. Serious buyers want to know who is responsible for quality, how production is managed, what happens when problems occur, and whether the supplier can support long-term business.
A Practical FAQ for Serious Glass Buyers
This page answers the questions customers usually ask before starting a long-term relationship with CN Glass Pro — from product range and pricing to quality control, container orders, factory visits, and claims support.
Most Important Questions
These are the questions that matter most when choosing a glass supplier, sourcing partner, or OEM production support team.
1Are you a manufacturer or a trading company?
CN Glass Pro is not a typical middleman. We operate our own glass table top processing capability and also work with a long-term network of specialized glass processing partners across China. This allows us to match each product with the right production source while keeping quality control, export communication, packaging, and service under one experienced team.
2Why should I buy from CN Glass Pro instead of buying directly from a factory?
You can buy directly from a factory, but the real question is: which factory is best for your product? Glass processing is highly specialized. A factory that is strong in glass table tops may not be the best choice for laminated glass, IGU, curved glass, mirrors, or architectural glass. We help customers find the right production route, control quality, coordinate communication, and solve problems when they occur.
3What products do you supply?
We supply a wide range of flat glass and processed glass products, including clear float glass, ultra clear glass, tinted glass, reflective glass, tempered glass, heat strengthened glass, heat soak tested glass, laminated glass, insulated glass units, acid-etched glass, patterned glass, mirrors, glass table tops, shelves, shower doors, railings, and architectural glass. If you do not see the product you need, please ask — chances are we can help.
4Why are your prices competitive?
Our pricing advantage comes from a combination of our own production experience, large-volume purchasing, long-term factory relationships, and lower export overhead for specialized partner factories. We focus on quality first, but we also work hard to keep costs efficient so customers can remain competitive in their markets.
5How do you control quality?
Quality control starts before production. We review specifications, drawings, glass type, thickness, processing requirements, packaging method, and shipment plan. During production, we coordinate with the factory and inspect key stages when required. Before shipment, we check finished goods, packaging, labeling, crate condition, and container loading where applicable. Our goal is simple: prevent problems before they reach the customer.
6What happens if there is a quality issue?
If a legitimate manufacturing or packaging issue occurs, we review the evidence and work toward a fair solution. Depending on the situation, this may include replacement production, commercial credit, or another agreed solution. We do not ask customers to ship heavy custom glass back to China. Clear photos, videos, order information, and measurements help us review claims quickly.
7Can you support custom sizes and drawings?
Yes. We support custom sizes, shapes, thicknesses, edge finishes, holes, notches, cutouts, coatings, laminating structures, IGU configurations, mirror designs, and project drawings. For technical products, approved drawings are important because all cutting, drilling, notching, and edge processing must be completed before tempering, laminating, or IGU assembly.
8How do I get a quote?
You can use the Get A Quote form or email us at [email protected]. Please include glass type, size, thickness, quantity, processing requirements, drawings if available, packaging requirements, and destination port. Clear information helps us quote faster and more accurately.
9What is your minimum order quantity?
MOQ depends on the product, thickness, processing method, packaging, and production requirements. Some items can be shipped by crate, while others work better as batch production or container orders. Tell us what you need, and we will give you a direct answer instead of forcing a standard MOQ that does not fit your project.
10Can you support mixed container orders?
Yes. One of our strengths is helping customers combine compatible products into container shipments where practical. For example, customers may source glass table tops, shelves, mirrors, shower door glass, or other processed glass through one coordinated supply plan. Mixed orders require careful packaging and loading planning, but they can help improve purchasing efficiency.
11What is the typical production lead time?
Lead time depends on glass type, processing complexity, order quantity, factory schedule, and packaging requirements. Standard processed glass may be faster, while laminated glass, IGU, curved glass, printing, or project-based products may require more time. We will confirm realistic production time before order confirmation and keep customers updated during production.
12Can you help develop new glass products?
Yes. We work with retailers, importers, online sellers, bathroom brands, furniture companies, and project customers to develop custom glass products. We can help review feasibility, recommend materials, match suitable production resources, improve packaging, and prepare samples or trial orders before larger production.
13Do you work with online retailers and wholesalers?
Yes. Online retailers, glass wholesalers, furniture sellers, bathroom product brands, and home improvement suppliers are important customer groups for us. We understand that these customers need stable quality, consistent packaging, repeatable specifications, competitive pricing, and reliable supply for long-term selling programs.
14Can you handle large commercial or architectural projects?
Yes. Through our processing network, we can support project-based glass such as curtain wall glass, laminated glass, insulated glass units, heat soak tested glass, curved glass, railings, partitions, and other architectural products. For large projects, drawings, specifications, standards, packing plans, and delivery schedules should be reviewed carefully before production.
15What payment methods do you accept?
Common payment methods include T/T and L/C. Other methods may be discussed depending on order size, customer history, and product type. New customers usually pay a deposit before production, with the balance arranged before shipment or according to the agreed terms.
16How is the glass packed for export shipping?
We use export-grade wooden crates, protective interleaving, edge protection, moisture protection, steel belt fastening, bracing, and container loading planning according to product type. Glass is heavy and fragile, so packaging is treated as a serious part of the supply process, not an afterthought.
17What certifications or standards can you provide?
Available documentation depends on product type and project requirements. We can provide relevant certificates, test reports, production documents, inspection records, or compliance information where applicable. Please tell us your target market and required standard before production so we can confirm what is available.
18Can I visit the factory?
Yes. Serious buyers are welcome to visit our own facility or selected partner factories when appropriate. We can help arrange factory visits, production reviews, quality inspections, and meeting schedules. For international visitors, we also help coordinate practical travel arrangements when needed.
